About

I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology with honors from Capella University and have extensive experience working across a variety of mental health settings. My clinical background includes providing services in outpatient, hospital, and private practice environments, where I have worked with individuals experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges.

Early in my career, I served as a Regional Patient Behavioral Consultant, where I gained experience utilizing innovative treatment modalities, including neurofeedback and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), to support individuals managing mental health conditions. I later worked within a hospital system treating eating disorders. During this time, I received intensive training in crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, behavioral management, suicide risk assessment, and treatment planning. My work focused on helping individuals identify underlying triggers, develop effective coping strategies, and establish pathways toward long-term recovery and stability.

I continued my clinical work in private practice, where I expanded my training in expressive and experiential therapies, including play therapy, art therapy, and sandplay therapy. These approaches allow clients to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences through both verbal and nonverbal forms of expression, fostering deeper self-awareness and emotional healing.

My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed interventions. I tailor treatment to each individual's unique needs, strengths, and goals, creating a collaborative and personalized therapeutic experience.

I primarily work with individuals experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, eating disorders, OCD, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, stress, and trauma-related concerns, including PTSD. I am particularly passionate about helping clients heal from relational wounds, navigate fears of rejection and abandonment, strengthen self-compassion, and develop healthier relationship patterns. I also support individuals in recognizing and breaking free from toxic or abusive relationship dynamics.

My style is warm, empathetic, validating, and direct. I believe meaningful change occurs when clients feel safe enough to be authentic, challenged enough to grow, and supported enough to take risks. While there are no quick fixes in therapy, developing insight, self-awareness, and practical life skills can lead to lasting change and improved well-being. My goal is to provide a space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered to move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
